A curious Springbok finds a piece of green cloth in the remote Karoo desert. He gets it tangled in his horns and accidentally puts on a powerful Springbok rugby jersey, transforming into Bokkie, a superhero who embodies the power, speed and heroism of South African rugby.
Character
Bokkie is sporty, playful, sociable and energetic. Because he believes in team sports and is a born leader, he always inspires and includes those around him in all that he does. Sportsmanship is Bokkie's most valuable trait — he always conducts himself with integrity, honesty and pride.
Bokkie treasures rugby's traditional values which he lives out through his behaviour both on and off the field. All in all he is fun, energetic, positive and you always want him around.
Recognition
Sunrise's inaugural sports marketing campaign with SA Rugby was recognized as Best Integrated Sports Marketing Campaign at the 2010 Virgin Sports Industry Awards. This success established Sunrise as a leader in animated sports mascot development.
