About the Film

Jungle Beat 2: The Past is the sequel to Jungle Beat: The Movie, the Netflix Original that reached the Top 10 worldwide in 2020. Based on the beloved YouTube series with over 7 billion views across 104 episodes, the film brings back everyone’s favourite jungle friends for their biggest adventure yet.

Produced by Sunrise Animation and Sandcastle Studios, the film was co-directed by Sam Wilson and Brent Dawes, reuniting the creative team behind the original.

Story

One morning, Munki and Trunk wake up to discover a stegosaurus in their jungle. It’s accidentally fallen through a hole in time made by their friend, Fneep the alien.

When they try to carry the dinosaur back to the past, Trunk falls into the time hole too and ends up stuck in prehistoric times. Meanwhile, back in the present, history is changing, and Munki gets stuck in an alien zoo.

But Munki and Trunk aren’t going to let little things like time and space come between them. Working together across time, along with Trunk’s new dinosaur friends, they put history back on track.
